Creating Luxury Adventures in Africa

The travel bug first hit me when I lived in Luxembourg for the study abroad program at Miami University during my senior year. Every weekend was spent discovering a new part of Europe, Eurail passed in hand, and I fell in love with the history, architecture, food, and wine of Europe.

After a career in finance, I took a leap of faith and started a concierge travel agency in 2012 because of the need for immersive travel itineraries. I am passionate about creating journeys that offer a blend of amazing destinations and unique experiences that will amaze my clients. These immersive experiences are elusive, yet I believe it’s what most travelers are searching for.

Throughout my career, my focus has always been on bucket list trips, and I now specialize in African travel, as this stunning destination has stolen my heart. This year will mark my 5th visit to Africa, as I continue to review lodges, safaris, and unique experiences in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, and Rwanda. There is a reason Gorilla Trekking is on everyone’s bucket list. The hour we spent with a gorilla family was surreal and unforgettable. The food and wine in South Africa are some of the best in the world, and the beaches in Mozambique are untouched. There is truly something for everyone there!

Where I have been: Rwanda, South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Spain, France, Italy, UK, Ireland, Croatia, Greece, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, Belgium, Netherlands, Iceland, Czechia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Peru, Jordan, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, Turkey.

Next destinations: A biking trip in the Dolomites and Puglia in Italy, Brussels, Kenya and Colombia!

Hot tips: Plan ahead! For Africa, this normally means a year in advance, since the lodges are small and availability limited. The best time of year to travel there depends on what region you visit, as the times for South Africa and East Africa are slightly different. There are special times when you can see lots of new babies (December and January), the Great Migration (summer months), and the dry season in South Africa (fall).
