Saturday, September 22:  Departure from US

Sunday September 23:  Arrive in Zagreb

On your arrival at Zagreb airport your driver will meet you for your transfer to your hotel. After settling in your hotel private guided tour will be organized.  Zagreb, Croatia’s capital. Modern city with Medieval roots, rich with history, culture and filled with museums, Zagreb is truly Central European capital becoming tourist destination by himself of itself.  Free evening for exploring Zagreb.

Monday, September 24:  Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes to Split

In the morning you will continue your tour to Split. On your way you will stop at NP Plitvice Lakes. Breathtakingly beautiful, Plitvice Lakes is UNESCO World Heritage site and oldest national park in Croatia. The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. Walk on wooden bridges and drive on electric boats so that you can experience firsthand this nature’s wonder. Lunch will be organized. After your tour you will continue your drive to Split. Arrival in late afternoon/early evening. Free evening.

Tuesday, September 25:  Split, late afternoon in the ancient city of Trogir – just to explore!

Your day will start with a private walking tour of Split’s city center with your guide. The city of Split has evolved over the centuries. Split offers a perfect mix of history and modern influences, amazing ancient Roman architecture infused with modern bars, restaurants, and vibrant life. Visit Diocletian’s Palace, UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was originally built as a residential summer palace for the Roman emperor, and Split’s open green market. Lunch will be organized in the old town of Split.

In the afternoon transfer to nearby town of Trogir, also UNESCO World Heritage Site, for some leisure time and exploration of this jewel of Croatian medieval architecture and Mediterranean way of life.

Wednesday, September 26:  Visit the Island of Hvar-Wine Tasting and lunch in the Abandoned Village

In the morning, after breakfast, take a ferry ride to the island of Hvar, one of the most visited islands of Croatian coast. There you will have guided tour of Hvar Old Town followed by a visit to one of the best Croatian wineries, located on the island. There in the winery and you will have an expertly guided tasting of great island and Dalmatian wine sorts. After wine tasting you will have lunch in traditional “konoba”-tavern located in the abandoned village. To wander around this village, abandoned in the 50’s, amidst a backdrop of cliffs, gives you an insight into authentic Dalmatia. After lunch ferry ride back to Split while experiencing sun setting in crystal blue Adriatic Sea.

Thursday, September 27: Split – Dubrovnik -Gourmet Food and Wine Paring

In the late morning continue your tour of Croatia by heading south down the amazing coastline towards Dubrovnik. On halfway point, after about 1,5 hours of driving another culinary adventure awaits. Situated in the hills above Adriatic Sea and with a view to die for is where you will visit another winery. After a short tour of the facilities your gourmet 5 course with wine paring experience will begin. In the afternoon continue to Dubrovnik. Free evening.

Friday, September 28:  Dubrovnik

You will start this morning with a private walking tour of Dubrovnik’s city center with your guide. Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Irish author George Bernard Shaw wrote, “Those who seek paradise on Earth must come to Dubrovnik.” The Old Town, protected by city walls, fortresses and bastions, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A walk along the ramparts reveals a view of the enchanting Elafiti Islands. Stroll the cobblestone streets with your local guide to admire Onofrio fountain, the city bell tower and numerous medieval buildings. Dubrovnik walls will be known to some by the name of Kings Landing because the area is a scenery for one of the most popular tv shows in the world – Game of Thrones. Rest of the day is leisure time for exploration of this magnificent city.

Saturday, September 29:  Departure or extra day in Dubrovnik 

If you can, spend an extra day so you can kayak around the walls of Dubrovnik or have a day trip to the Montenegro!

Pricing:  2800E per person for a single room, with discounts if room is shared.

Deposit:  30%  with remainder due 45 days before arrival.
