Lagos is an ideal location for the adventurous traveler. You can experience the beauty of the grottos by taking a boat tour, or opt to kayak or snorkel through the caverns and caves along the coast. There are private beaches accessible only by boat and others with walkways carved out of the cliffs. The town is charming, catering to tourists with little outdoor bars and restaurants and plentiful pottery. A short 30 minute drive will take you to Sagres, where you can picture Columbus sailing west into the sunset!
